JOB OBJECTIVES / PURPOSE

I and 2

Periodic Closing of books of accounts, creation of accruals, preparation of MIS reports, and supporting finance controller in the day-to-day operations (2) Tax management and relating with the regulatory bodies on all matters involving preparation and filing of accounts

Preparation of product costing sheets, tracking and reconciliation of control GLS (Advance GLS), preparation of logistics tracker, and supporting commercial controller in the day-to-day operations

LOCATION:                                                                           Lagos

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:                                               Finance Controller

GENERAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES 1 & 2

• Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
• Closely working with Shared services (SSC) to reconcile BRS and Intercompany transactions.
• Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations.
• Update accounts payable (Export) and perform reconciliations.
• Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting & financial guidelines
• Assist with reviewing expenses, payroll records, etc. as assigned
• Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
• Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports
• Handful Knowledge of Withholding tax provisions applicable in Nigeria
• Experience in handling Audits (Statutory & Internal)
• Assist Finance Controller in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings and day-to-day operations
• Assist with other accounting projects

GENERAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES 3

• Command on the product costing and overhead absorption to products.
• Monthly reconciliation of direct cost ledgers & passing necessary rectification entries in the GLs.
• Assist with reviewing expenses, classification of expenditures,s and providing necessary reports to the Finance Controller on the monthly expenses.
• Assist senior accountant/Commercial Controller in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
• Accounting Export realizations and tracking the export rebate benefits.
• Preparation of logistics cost tracker and reviewing the direct cost overruns and reports to management.
• Identification, recording, accounting, and timely capitalization of Fixed Assets and updating information to SSC.
